I want to build a chicken coop and raise a few chickens and to get eggs. My question is?

does anyone have experience with this and what are your thoughts?

1. it can be hard,specially if you dont really completely know what your doing,you should do a little research first on the general care and raising of chickens,and chicks if you plan on getting them as chicks,its a good idea to have the coop done BEFORE you get the birds,we didnt,and we were scrambling to get the coop up before they outgrew their baby coop,but theyre fun animals,and enjoy eating almost anything you throw them...

3. Your better offf either buying an already made one, or hireing other people to do it for you because building it is a pain. Just make sure you know what you want. I love my chickens so much. It is really fun and a great expirence!!!
4. It's really not that hard. With the right instructions anyone can build one. Try looking into http://www.chickencoopplansnow.com for great advice and easy to follow instructions.
5. i agree, it's not that hard to build your own coop if you have a decent set of instructions. there's lots about - I got mine from http://www.chickenark.org/
