Chook Me!

Does this sound good or not?????

I'm wanting to cook spaghetti noodles, then put them in the bottom of a casserole dish, put uncooked chicken on top, tomato roasted garlic sauce, and cheese on top. Does this sound good or not? I only have mild cheddar so that's what the cheese would be. Or I could make the spaghetti separate with regular sauce and just bake the chicken and then combine. What do you think? I could also bread the chicken and cook it on the stove top and then just put on top of the spaghetti to eat.

  1. I think that sounds DELICIOUS!!! I might try that myself!! Great idea!!!!! Thanks.
  2. 'Sounds delicious, but I would bake the chicken separately first. It can put out a lot of juice which might waterlog your casserole.
  3. I have done this before with Chicken Breast but instead of baking them on top of the pasta I pan seared them in Orange juice and garlic. I used real oranges sliced thin with the garlic and the pan. Squeeze the juice out of the oranges before slicing. When you are done searing the chicken remove the sliced oranges and take out the meat and return that to the pan and simmer slowly. Pour this over your noodles. I would not want to put raw chicken over cooked noodles.
  4. definitely cook the chicken first
  5. what if you grilled the chicken (after marinading it in good olive oil, fresh black pepper, italian herbs--or even better, basil pesto), made a broth out of the bones, and mixed it all with the cooked spaghetti? Strong cheddar would be better. But what if you threw diced brie on top? Or romano and bread crumbs and a few good mushrooms in the middle? I know, you don't have those things. But get them for the next time.
