Chook Me!

I want to make chicken breasts with onion string breading, what do I dip the chicken in before breading?

I want to make chicken breast sandwiches. I want to bread them in onion strings and then fry them in some oil on the griddle. Two questions. What kind of oil should I use? And what do I dip them in before breading them with onion strings? Just egg or egg butter and milk or what? I'm talking about those dried onion strings that come in the can. I think they are salad toppings.

  1. By onion strings what do you mean? Thinly sliced onions, french fried onions....? What? Dredge in flour first, then in an egg wash, then your onions, then pan fry in a mix of veggie and olive oil. ******Yes they are french fried onions.
  2. I would do flour, and then an egg and milk mixture, and then french fried onions. (I think that's what your talking about) I would fry in all vegetable oil. I think olive oil might give a strange flavor for what your doing. sounds interesting, I've never heard of this one. Good luck!
