Chook Me!

Throwing up food and calories, NOT BULIMIA!?

Ok this is gross but... I ate a chicken drumstick, breast, and wing (all with skin and roasted in a butter sauce) then threw up a lot of it, how many calories would I have actually absorbed? I threw up about 15 minutes after eating it. BTW...I threw up because I have the flu, not on purpose. But I figure as long as I threw it up, I may as well know if I lost any calories or not. O and I don't plan to eat any more chicken until my stomach settles, b/c throwing up chicken was pretty miserable. Just dry toast and cereal and stuff lol. No I didn't eat it after I threw it up. But I heard that you digest a lot in the first 10-15 minutes.

  1. did you eat it again after throwing it up? I would say you didnt get any cause u threw it up
  2. probs lost about 40% since u left it 15 mins and protein is digested in the stomach
  3. okay, that's weird. one throw up session is not going to make that much difference. just worry about how many calories you eat, okay.
  4. If you lose the food within the first half hour of eating it, you lose a vast majority of the calories. I'm not sure what the exact numbers are, though. Sorry you're so sick!
