Do you put spices on the chicken before or after you grill it?
I'm grilling boneless chicken breasts on a George Foreman grill and I have sage and oregano spices. Do I put the spices on before or after I grill the chicken? And do I cover it with olive oil after I put the spices on? (I'm not a good cook so that's why I'm asking). I didn't want to marinade it because I'm putting gravy on top of it and the noodles

- Put it all on before and allow it to marinate for maybe 5 to 10 minutes before grilling.
- Always put the spices on before. If you can find a good marinade recipe that would be good to do before also.
- I love the George forman grill and I use it often at least once a week.. I usually add seasoning before i grill it and I have never used any cooking oils to grill. But if you wanted to I would brush it on the chicken before you cook it then season then grill. Good luck If you are using the oil to prevent it from sticking you dont need it.. nothing has ever stuck or burned in my GFG
- I can't use a lot of seasonings due to health. I have come to use italian salad dressing! Let me marinade in salad dressing for about 30-40 minutes and it will taste like the seasonings you would usually cook with. I have done this for years and no one has realized my trick.
- If you don't want to make a marinade then you should just add some salt pepper and some garlic powder, brush it with a little olive oil you could add the sage it could change the flavor of your gravy, but it would still be good!
- Put them on before so they cook into the chicken. You can also add the spices to a little bit of olive oil then rub the chicken in that before you cook it,
- Salt and pepper before. Let it sit after seasoning for about 15 20 minutes. thanks
