If you've built one yourself, I'd appreciate a ballpark figure of your own plans & materials.

  1. Simply list up the materials involved and you can complete your build for $100 or less 1. The bulk of your project is the lumber & plywood. You can get them from the wood yard for about $50 2. Concrete pliers, chicken wire and screws / nails from the hardware store together come to about $44 3. If you have paint in the house, that should save you money. Pixelglass -- you can easily get this from the scrap pile for free.
  2. The answer above is pretty close, but you can spend more depending on how secure you want to make it. For instance, I'd spend less money on making it look nice and more on very tough and hard-wearing wire to keep out predators. However tough wire can significantly add to the costs. 3. If you look at all the materials and add the all prices up. It could be pretty cheap if you plan. My materials: Simple fencing Lumber Plywood Plastic Roofing Nails My chicken coop was completely free. A block away from where I live, they were building homes. So I got materials there.
