raw food coops?

Do those who raw feed order from coops? I was looking into coops because of how much cheaper it is, but i wanted to know if this is something common or what? My mom says don't do it because it's probably all diseased chickens...i don't think so lol..but since i just learned about coops for this i wanted to ask on here if you order with one or think it's trustworthy? the prices are so much cheaper than grocery store or butcher. thanks. lol excuse my spelling...i meant co-op

1. I'm on an email list with Yahoo! Groups that does bulk orders of a variety of different raw foods. I also get a LOT of my meat from grocery stores as well as a bulk meat supplier (I have to order 100 lbs at a time, but with 4 big dogs and a big freezer that isn't really an issue). I don't know what a coop is (chicken coop or co op?)
