Chook Me!

Has anyone besides me missed work because of chicken pox and a tonsillectomy?

I had chicken pox in my early 20s and missed work. When I was 26 I had my tonsils out. My point is that both are considered childhood ailments and for me I was an adult. And I have all my wisdom teeth, which is no badge of honor, cuz it has caused crowding. At least I have all that extra wisdom!

  1. luckily not me..
  2. I still have my tonsils, however, I did have the chicken pox, but I was maybe 8 years old or so...sorry,
  3. yeah i had my tonsils out when i was 4 and chicken pox when i was 10, but hey im 30 now and idk if i have my wisdom teeth yet, i mean it feels like they came in and are just not bothering me so i didnt have to get them pulled.
  4. It doesn't matter how old you are things like that can still happen. A child can have a heart attack just as well as a adult but its considered an adult ailment. Look at it this way you were still young at the time.
  5. Adult-aged child !!!!!! LOL We never grow up. Don't you want to be a toys r us kid forever too????? LOL
  6. I had chicken pox when I was three and I still have my tonsils. I had to have my wisdom teeth cut out when I was 25, so no wisdom here except what l have learned through life. Having chicken pox and a tonsillectomy as and adult had to have been rough on you.
  7. I had chicken pox on Christmas when I was 4. =( I still have my tonsils and wisdom teeth so no I haven't.
  8. Nope. I had a very mild case of chicken pox when I was a kid. From what I understand I can get them again. I still have my tonsils too. :)
  9. I contracted chicken pox from a patient I was caring for in the hospital at age 24, also 8 1/2 months pregnant. I was very miserable as there was not a place on my body that I didn't have chicken pox. I went into labor 2 weeks later with chicken pox scabs all over me. I still have my tonsils though
  10. I did give my neighbor the chicken pox and he was in his early 20's. I myself was about 9. Tonsils I still have, and all of my wisdom teeth as well. I was too chicken to have then yanked out. I say, don't fix what isn't broken! I can live with a little crowding. I only have top ones anyway.
