Healthy fried chicken recipe?
OK, there's probably no such thing as a healthy fried chicken recipe, but can anybody recommend one moderately acceptable on the health front? OK, chicken is going to be fried, and it is going to go straight on to "somebody's' hips. So what is the least unhealthy. but most tasty. way to do it? Are their any oils for frying that are less harmful?

- Look for an oven baked version instead of fried. Try allrecipes.com or just google it.
- no, there are plenty of healthy "grilled" chicken recipes, but healthy fried chicken is an oxymoron. Through frying the chicken you are adding transfats to the meal
- Unfortunately the simple idea of frying chicken in itself makes it unhealthy one thing that might satisfy your desire for a fried chicken without breaking your belt can be pan fried chicken using olive oil and stuff like that...t he whole issue is the breading, thats where the unhealthyness comes from my advice is find a good marinade and just make some good grilled chicken
- As a matter of fact, I've read that it doesn't matter a whole lot how you prepare your chicken. 99% of the fat is in the skin. If you eat the skin, then you're getting the fatty part. Period. It doesn't matter if it was grilled, fried, baked. If you peel off the skin and only eat the meat, it doesn't matter. Cook it how you want and eat the skin if you want. Personally, I shake the raw chicken in flour and seasonings, spray butter on top, cover with foil at 375 for 35 min, then remove the foil and 20 min at 425. Use release foil for the bottom of the pan. Almost like KFC original.
- Try this : 1 frying chicken, cut into 8 pieces 1/4 lb. melted butter 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 1/8 tsp. paprika 1/8 tsp. thyme 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs, finely crushed cornflakes or flour Dip chicken pieces in butter, then shake in paper bag containing remaining dry ingredients. Place skin side up in lightly greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish and bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees or until done. Serves 6-8.
