2. The book "Storey's Guide to Raising Poultry" has info to build your own incubators. It is available in feed stores and book stores. I made one from a foam cooler and two 40 watt light bulbs using what I learned in that book. I wired in a dimmer switch for a temperature control. It took a few days of playing with it to get the temperature right. Do that before you put any eggs in it. I haven't tried chicken eggs but I have hatched dozens of guineas and a few ducks in it.
