  1. I'm tired of the crap people say about the Dixie Chicks, they released some fantastic music, and I absolutely miss them!!
  2. They spoke out about their opinions for George Bush and the way he was running the country, Natalie Maines in particular. Their views were VERY strong, and VERY much against the patriotic way USA citizens normally view their president. Radio stations stopped playing their songs, a lot of cities had 'Dixie Chicks Burning Days' where they'd burn all CDs, posters, etc. So in other words, they did absolutely nothing but voice their opinions, which people disagreed with (although i'm sure 70% of American's actually agreed with them), just not those in their home state of Texas, also Bush's home state. They still make amazing music, and are the most amazing vocal country group since 'Trio' (Parton, Harris & Ronstadt)
  3. They said on the night before America went to war well in concert in another country "Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas". People then burned all their cds and they got cut off the radio. They have better music then most and really what they said was freedom of speech at it's best yet people were screaming how could you say such a thing well they are over fighting for your freedom...haha Because they also said they were on the good side and super against the war.
  4. Brad is very right about all of that. I'm from Texas and to add to what he said.. we also stopped liking them for the fact that they were talking bad about Texas in general.. I don't remember what they said exactly.
