- It's not possible - the top grill on the microwave acts as a broiler and can help toast or brown your food. But cooking fish or chicken in the microwave will not provide you with a tasty result. I think you had lofty expectations for a microwave that made food as good as grilled, but it's just not going to happen. I believe the idea is to cook the food through in the microwave, therefore making it slimy, mushy and dried out on the inside. Then use the "grille" to "toast" the food so it's slightly less mushy. It's no different than microwaving a chicken breast, then sticking it in the toaster oven. You're much better off buying a grill and grilling your food -- which is simple and easy and delicious. Or learn how to use the oven/broiler.
- Try this site http://www.cooks.com/rec/search/0,1-0,microwave_chicken,FF.html But in general I've never been successful at making a delicious microwaved anything besides frozen dinners and baked potatos. And believe me I've tried EVERYTHING!!! It just seams that flavor comes with time. The longer something is cooking the more season it absorbs.
