Are the Dixie Chicks or Shania Twain ever going to return to the country music scene?

Just 10 years ago they were among the biggest women in country...Do they ever plan do return? Why did they stop?

1. I actually just heard something today about the Dixie Chicks... They're coming back--without Natalie. I think the only reason they really disappeared from the scene is because of the whole George Bush thing however many years ago. The whole situation was so dumb.
2. The Dixie Chicks disappeared after they dissed George W. Bush in public, and the American Public, at least the country audience, just totally turned their backs on the Chicks. Good luck in them trying to get back into the scene. In a year, they'll diss Obama. But then, I'd be all for it. This guy is so much worse than Bush ever was. But I don't want to get political. Shania Twain is a possibility, but I don't know if she wants to get back into the scene or stay clear.
3. The Dixie Chicks, contrary to what THEY(and the Liberals) want you to believe, were making a come back after the comments about Bush. Natalie's comments on Bush DIDN'T kill their career. It was what FOLLOWED that did them in. First she started a Feud with Toby Keith(who eventually said he was acting like a child and wanted to end it so she wore that F.U.T.K. shirt and ended it for them) and when she said they didn't want to be in the same CD changer as Reba and Toby(Reba then asked how she was put in all this). They said they didn't need Country and so with Natalie they WON'T be back in Country according to THAT claim by her. Shania isn't likely to come back to Country or music. After things ended with her producer and husband Mutt Lange I just don't see her coming back.

5. Yes i read on the google news last week that the two sisters are actually releasing a new CD soon with out Natalie on it and yes i also read Shania will be doing one quite soon
6. actually the dixie chicks just recorded a few songs, they recorded like 1 with natalie but Only the 2 sisters will be coming back for now under the band name Court Yard Hounds. they are not fighting natal;ie just wanted a break, they stopped bc a lot of americans thought that your dissing america, which i thought was totally stupid because everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Shania i have heard nothing about. im hoping that she makes a comeback very soon because i absolutely love her and her music. she did light the olympic torch for her home place like last week or something. but i am looking forward to both of their comebacks.
7. sgoldperson summed it up about the Chicks,but the 2 sisters are coming out with a cd without Maines.Shania once said after her "UP" Cd, that she wasn't burning to perform anymore and she couldn't feel free to do what she wants to in America anyway,( aw poor baby) so she moved to Switzerland and is currently involved in a strange swiss wife swap.
