I need good family recipes for a family of three?
I usually make tacos, spaghetti, chicken casserole, hash brown casserole, enchiladas, roast, stir fry. And any of the the other basic dinners. I am just getting sick of the same things every other week. I would like them to be some what healthy, but just really good. Thanks

- Well, comfort food is great. Traditional meatloaf with homemade mashed potatoes is great.
- spagethi- meat cheese tomato sauce noodles
- Pork chops, baked potato, mixed veg. salad.
- You're doing good. I'm in the same boat. My daughter and 28 month old grandson live with me--she hates to cook and I get ticked that everything she feeds him is frozen food or out of a can! I HATE that--but he's still not into a variety of foods. I buy chicken drumsticks and baste with barbeque sauce. I serve it with chicken Rice A Roni or even just regular rice. Wild rice dishes with ground beef are always good. Time for some slow cooker stuff like pot roast or beef stew. I don't have a lot of money to spend for gourmet cooking, so lots of times we just have fried pork chops (center cut for great flavor) and sweet potatoes. I like to steam fresh veggies--they are done quick and taste great! I don't like spending a lot of time preparing food so my meals are as simple as they can get. Chili and hungarian goulash are good this time of year.
- Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya Ingredients 1 teaspoon canola oil 8 ounces andouille sausage, (may be hard to find) or low-fat kielbasa, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices 1 16-ounce bag frozen bell pepper and onion mix 1 14-ounce can reduced-sodium chicken broth 2 cups instant brown rice 8 ounces raw shrimp, (26-30 per pound), peeled and deveined 1.Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add sausage and pepper-onion mix; cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables soften, 3 to 5 minutes. 2.Add broth to the pot and bring to a boil. Add rice, stir once, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Add shrimp and stir to incorporate. Remove from the heat and let stand, covered, until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through, 5 to 6 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
- A really wholesome food, is a bacon and lentil soup. My method is so simple. I use a slow cooker and add bacon pieces, or off cuts, casserole vegetables such as celery, onions, carrots, cabbage, haricot beans (optional), and lentils or split peas, put all the ingredients in a slow cooker before going to work with vegetable stock, and when you come home from work, its all ready. Beautiful.
- you should buy pork side ribs s&s cut, cut them beside the bone into chunks, put them into a large pot, add some mustard, some relish, add some ketchup more then mustard and relish and then add alot of bbq sauce..... put about half a cup of water in and stir it all together..... i aways cook mine on 7 or 8 and cook for about 1/12 hours or until meat falls off the bone remember to stir and add more water if needeed...... i usually eat it with rice..... instead of using soya sauce us the sauce for the ribs ............. it seriously might not sound very goood BUT IM VERY VERY picky and i LOVEEEEEEEEE this meal
- There are so many to give you that I don't know where to begin. My particular bias is for the Italian cuisine as it seems to have variety and flavour. Cannelloni Fettuccine Alfredo Fettuccine al Gorgonzola Gnocchi Gnocchi Romana Lasagna Pasta al Forno Pasta Cacio e Pepe Pasta in Bianco Penne Arrabiata Ravioli Spaghetti alla Carbonara Spaghetti alla Puttanesca Spaghetti al sugo Spaghetti al Tonno Spaghetti au gratin Spaghetti Bolognese Spaghetti Napolitana Spaghetti with Garlic Tagliatelle al prosciutto Tortelli Anatra all'Arancia Baccala alla Romana Baked Aubergines with Tomato & Cheese Chicken Marsala Fritto Misto Alla Milanese Osso Buco Pizza Polenta Pollo Alla Cacciatora Risotto Bolognese Risotto con Asparagi Risotto con Porcini Secchi Risotto Milanese Stuffed Cabbage Leaves Stuffed Onion Skins Valtarese Stufato Veal Escalopes Milanese Veal Scaloppine with Marsala Hope that is enough to keep you going for a while!
- Beef Vegetable Soup with Kissy Sandwiches 1lb of ground beef 20oz of beef stock (or more depending on how soupy you want it) 16oz of Veg-all (carrots, peas, corn, green beans, potatoes, onions and celery) 16oz of diced canned tomatoes Brown the ground beef until cooked through and then add the stock, veggies and tomatoes. Bring to a boil and then season to taste. You can also add any veggies of your choice... it doesn't have to be veg-all, it's just easier :) Kissy Sandwiches are a family "recipe" for us. You mix together peanut butter and a sweetner of your choice (usually Karo syrup, maple syrup, honey, jelly, etc) until you've got a consistency easy to spread than peanut butter and sweetened to your liking. Spread on white or whole wheat bread and enjoy with the soup! I think I might make this tonight ;)
