  1. One of the most important things to remember is make sure you don't turn the eggs over. The need to be kept the same way as she laid them. About a week or so before she lays the eggs she'll look like she's got a tummy full of marbles. When she's ready to lay she'll constantly dig, rushing about the viv looking for somewhere to lay. I find a small cat litter tray with damp sand in is a good place for them to lay, and you can remove it to get the eggs out. Mix the vermiculite with water 50 verm to 40 water, it should feel damp but not wet. A chinese takeaway tub is good to put this in. Then remembering to keep the eggs the right way up lay them in 2 rows of about 4-5 each row. press your thumb in to create an indentation and half bury the eggs, be sure not to over crowd them. The incubator should be set to 30 degrees. The first clutch that a female lays are often unfertilised and will be yellow in colour. (If you are unsure you could always incubate them and they will colapse if they are infertile. The will also grow in size which is a good indicator they are healthy. hope this is of some help. Good luck!!
