Chook Me!

How long do Cold Grilled Chicken Breast fillets last in the ref?

I eat salad the whole day, and I want to put GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST FILLETS as my protein. I grill my chicken fillets every night (George Foreman Grill) chop them into cubes, and store them in the ref. So whenever I want salad, I can just easily throw them in together with my other salad ingredients. I was wondering how long do these grilled chicken breast fillets last? Within how many days should I consume them?

  1. it really depends on how long they sat out after cooking. The bacteria starts to grow right away. If after cooking you let them cool for a while then refrigerated them right away, they would last 2-3 days. Ideally you should cook every other day though. But for sure after 3 days it should be thrown out. Only cook enough for tomorrow and the next day, then Cook again.
  2. This site gives comprehensive food storage times and tips on refrigeration. Cooked meat can be stored for 3-4 days. See way down the bottom. "Cooked Meat, Poultry, and Fish Leftovers Pieces and cooked casseroles 3-4 days"
  3. Cooked chicken can be stored for 3-4 days. Make sure your fridge is set to 4°C (or 40°F). For more food safety tips and hundreds of chicken recipes visit www.chicken.ca. Hope this helps. Marty Brett Chicken Farmers of Canada
  4. After 3 days, your going to start noticing a bad flavor, so I would say anytime before that....
