Chicken Invaders 3 - I get delayed reactions?

I have recently downloaded chicken invaders 3. I get a delayed reaction with the fork/spaceship/etc... When I move the mouse, the space ship does not move, then after a second or two...it moves. The mouse does not move simultaneously with my space ship. What should I do? Please help. It looks like a fun game.
