how to get rid of little flies on my patio?

I took a sample of the flies down to the local farm supply and they said they are poultry fly's. There is nothing for them to eat or drink. I put up fans and they are still there. Fly traps don't work and fly tape is not effective either. Please help!

1. Filling plastic bags half full of water and hanging them up on the patio will get rid of the flies. Some people believe in putting shiny pennies in the bags. The bags confuse their many eyes.
2. replacing your exterior lights with "bug lights" seems to work for me. Bug lights block UV light and tend to be more of a yellowish light, which insects can't see. If you're still having issues, a bug zapper may be in order. If you don't have much of a draft or breeze on your porch, such as a porch that is only open on one side, you may try some stuff available at many farm and feed stores called Dairy Mist II. It has automatic sprayers available also. It's basically a mini fogger that is safe for pets, birds and humans to be around because of the way that it kills insects.
