Chook Me!

Dinner for a week...?

I thought it would be a cool idea for everyone to "plan out" a weeks worth of dinner/suppers. If you want you can just do the work week. Make sure that its a full meal and something that you and/or your family would actually eat! Here's mine: Monday - Baked spaghetti, side salad, garlic bread, and chilled fruit cups Tuesday - Grilled salmon with lemon flavoring, baked beans, pasta, and pie (any flavor) Wednesday - Chicken, rice, and peppers casserole with baked rolls and cheesecake (any flavor) Thursday - Creamy potato soup with cornbread and fruit tarts Friday - Grilled burgers w/all the toppings, grilled corn on the cob, french fries, and home made ice cream Saturday - Home made pizza and banana pudding Sunday - Roast beef, green beans with chopped onions, dirty rice, and chocolate cake

  3. I'm going to be lazy- I actually do a menu plan a month in advance! This is what we are actually having each night of next week! Monday- beef sausages with garlic and mushroom gravy, steamed vegetables, Tuesday- steamed fish and a basic pasta carbonara Wednesday- Meat loaf, mashed potato and steamed veges with rosella sauce Thursday- Mystery meat casserole (the label came off the package in the freezer- I THINK it is either goat or lamb!) Friday- yum cha Saturday- pepperberry and bushplum sausages (these are an indulgence in our house at $10 a kg!) with mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, steamed green veges and a rosella sauce. Sunday- roast beef and roasted vegetables with gravy. we usually have trifles, fresh fruit, sorbets or jellies for dessert. Sometimes I'll make a pudding but dessert is usually whatever I have left from the days 'snackage'!
