What dirt can I use for my chicken coop?

The rain has made my chicken coop very dirty, so I scrubbed the top layer out of the coop. I am looking to buy some dirt or some flooring that my chickens can have instead of the mud that was all over the coop. Let me know if you know anything!

1. anything without fertilizer or any chemicals in it should work...what we did is we dug up some from another part of our yard. That worked out pretty well
2. anything dry that looks like sand i think might be ok
