Kindly identify these fishes my dad brought them.?

My dad brought them over,one of his friends supplies restaurants with produce,fish, poultry and meat. I'm a culinary student and I would really like to know their names.   1. Patricia: Obviously you live on the Southern California coast. The top fish is a rock perch (often called the rubber lipped perch), the next is commonly called the "silver surf perch, the third is a small mackerel (I believe it was called a Spanish mackerel when I was a boy. The last (bottom) is commonly called a herring (or queenfish); it is not a true herring. All of these fish are very good eating, with the possible exception of the mackerel. I have eaten many. We always smoked the Spanish Mackerel when we caught large ones. The following website offers a fish identification book for common California fin and shellfish.
