How much weight do you think I will lose?

I am 5'3" and 180lbs. Trust me, you don't have to tell me I'm obese. The button on my pants tells me every day. Anyways, I've started eating healthier. I'm not going to do a strict diet. I'm just not going to eat junk food and I'm going to make better meal choices. For example, instead of chicken wings and french fries for dinner, I'll have grill chicken and a salad and grilled asparagus. I've also started walking for 30mins. every day. Do you think I will lose weight by doing this? I don't expect to lose a ton of weight very quickly. I do want to see some results though.

  2. Of course you will lose weight. Id day at most 2 pounds per week. Some weeks you may not see a change and some weeks you may lose more or less. Just keep it up. and if a month goes by and you havent lost, then you need to improve the diet and workout more. if you can dont just walk, try jogging or something that will really get your heart pumping. its good to walk, but that shouldnt be your only exercise. try jumping jacks, jump rope, dancing, if you have access to a gym try spinning, the stair master, elliptical etc. plus make sure what your eating is as healthy as you think by checking the nutrition facts and serving sizes, make sure your only eating one serving. the dailyplate.com is a good resource. you log in your meals and snacks and it adds up the calories and tells you if you have gone over your fat, sugar, carb (etc) limits for the day. good luck
