What are some easy meals?
What are some easy to make meals? I already know that hamburgers, spaghetti, simple baked chicken, etc. is easy to make, but what are some INTERESTING meals, that are also easy to make? A few things I came across are spaghetti sauce with bow-tie noodles and veggies mixed in, chicken/veggie casserole, veggie stir-fry. We're not big on cheese, casseroles, or really out-there recipes. - My favorite easy recipe! Put a fillet of salmon and a bunch of asparagus on some foil, Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and douse liberally with lemon. Seal foil loosely (so that it can steam inside) and bake at 400 for 20 minutes. SO Easy, and delicious! Also, slow cookers are the answer to everything. I love making meals in them. My favorite is to toss some chicken legs in there, and cover them with salsa (or bbq sauce!) and cook them for 8 hours on low. Delicious.
- POTATO AND GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE 1 lb. ground beef 2 c. canned tomatoes 4 med. potatoes, diced Oregano, salt and pepper to taste Slightly brown ground beef in skillet and drain. Brush bottom of casserole dish lightly with melted butter. Place diced potatoes in bottom of dish. Add drained beef and cover with canned tomatoes. Season with oregano, salt and pepper. Bake at 400 degree for 30 to 35 minutes or until thoroughly cooked. For variety a small can of sweet peas may be added with potatoes.
- Cassidy, hi, It's only ten points for a good answer. Honestly speaking, I would have a serious look at Rachael Ray's link, 30 minute meals. They are simple, and she uses basic ingredients from the pantry and fridge.
- Instead of baked chicken try CHICKEN WITH WINE ------1 chicken cut up or chicken pieces (what I use) 1 cup of wine, 1/.4 lb of butter ( I use oil or chicken broth with a little oil because I need to cut back on butter) BRING wine with butter or substitute to a boil. Dip chicken pieces and place in a baking dish . Pour balance of wine mixture over chicken .SPRINKLE TOP WITH ITALIAN SEASONED BREAD CRUMBS. Cover and bake for 35 minutes ;uncover and bake for about another 10 minutes .Its easy and it taste good .

- chicken parmesan- Ingredients 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts 2 cups Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce* 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 4 cups hot, cooked spaghetti Directions 1.Place chicken in 2-quart shallow baking dish. Top with pasta sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. 2.Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes or until done. Serve with spaghetti. -------------------------------------------------------------------- sloppy joes- Ingredients 11 ounces ground beef 2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons chopped onion 1/4 cup chili sauce 2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons water 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon prepared mustard 3/4 teaspoon chili powder 4 hamburger buns, split 4 slices Cheddar cheese 1.In a large skillet, cook beef and onion until beef is browned; drain. Cook onion and celery in butter until just tender, 5 minutes. Pour in chicken and vegetable broths and stir in chicken, noodles, carrots, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes before serving. ------------------------------------------------------- french toast- Ingredients 6 thick slices bread 2 eggs 2/3 cup milk 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional) 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) salt to taste Directions 1.Beat together egg, milk, salt, desired spices and vanilla. 2.Heat a lightly oiled griddle of skillet over medium-high flame. 3.Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides. Place in pan, and cook on both sides until golden. Serve hot.
