How much room do baby chicks need?

I'm getting 3 baby chicks in a few weeks and was trying to figure out how large of a brooder will be needed to house them until they are 4-5 weeks old or until they are old enough to live in a coop. I think I read 2 sq ft per chick but I'm not sure. dimensions would be greatly appreciated

1. One square feet for one chick is enough if you have a coop large enough about 1 metre in length and 2feet high is enough you can also email me at basit_reyaz@yahoo.com
2. 3 square feet for all 3 of them is ok. About 2 feet high as well. -- PA
3. You can do that or if you want the chicks to be really happy give them extra room :)
