Chicken Incubators In Australia Help?

i was just wondering if you can buy a small incubator (around 5-12 eggs) in australia for less than $100 with an automatic egg turner. im not a commercial breeder and im just looking for one as a hobby. i have looked at many incubator website, but most are located in America and are very cheap, the postage is around $80. if you cant find one that is cheaper than $100, is there any that are close to that, as i dont have a very big budget to work with. Thanks In Advance.

  1. I answered this question already :) Ive been looking for an incubator aswell, ive tried sites like ebay and gumtree and the cheapest i can find a buy it now price was $300. So have you thought about making your own incubator some incubators are quite simple to make, the bad thing is that it can also be pretty costly especially buying a lamp that can take over 75 watts and can be left on 24-7 without the bulb blowing up. You also need to buy a thermometer and humidity tester, the humidity and temperature needs to be exact, none less or over the right temperature or percentage (there are cheap ones on ebay), and your going to have to turn the eggs yourself around maybe 3 or 4 times a day (wouldnt want those embryos sticking to one side of the shell would we? So anyways now that i think about it, your better off just buying the cheapest you can find even if it is over $100 or you can make your own incubator but that involves a lot of work. Perhaps you could look abit more into it online and how to care for eggs and the chicks when they hatch (i hope they do), good luck.
