Protecting the Australian meat industry from imported meats?

There is a number of diseases that cattle carry and australia is free of disease but by importing meats from other countries with introduce these diseases .The Australian government cannot allow imports or regulations on imports to change as disease control in cattle and poultry is a main factor.
