Silly but please tell me that chinese buffalo wings are from chicken and not dogs?

I ask because I heard from a rather somewhat popular source on the net (not naming who), that buffalo wings (the hairy ones mainly in chinese restaurants) are actual puppies or dog legs doscombubulated some kinda way to make it 'appear' as if it were an actual chicken wing. I hope it's nonsense but then again I know asians eat weird stuff as is with most other cultures in other countries. But I really hope they aren't keeping this a secret in their restaurants over here.
