Breeding a snake and letting her incubate the eggs?
I only hear about people using incubators. Does the snake incubating them herself really lower the hatching results that much?

- Do an experiment and see if it works. Take half of the batch and incubate it, then next time you will or will not have to get one. Sorry I can't be solid. It depends on the breed too so...
- Only pythons incubate their own eggs. Other snakes will not. And yes, you're better off placing them in an incubator because in order to have a good hatch rate using maternal incubation, everything must be perfect. It is much easier to control the temperature and humidity using an incubator.
- incubators allow much better environment control plus when they lay there eggs if you can remove them before the eggs "clutch" into a cluster. when the eggs are not attached to each other it helps prevent mold growth, having one bad egg ruin the rest and more. Just remember a controlled environment must be controlled and precisely.
