Cheesy chicken and rice?
I want to make a cheesy chicken and rice casserole but I have bone-in chicken breast and every recipe I have seen calls for either canned chicken or boneless breasts. How can I make it with the whole chicken breast? I have two whole chicken breast, regular rice, half a loaf of Velveeta, frozen broccoli and cream of mushroom soup, will all of that work?

- The best you can do is cut the chicken from the bone either before or after you cook it.
- You can cook them whole, bone-in, in the mushroom soup, water and rice (assuming the rice isn't cooked yet). You need a 1 1/2 cups of water to each cup of rice. Should take 35-40 mins for the whole lot to cook, add the frozen broccoli with 10 mins cooking time left. Not sure what to do with the Velveeta. If you had real cheese you could grate some and sprinkle over the finished rice and chicken dish. Good luck.
- Cooking nearly any meat with the bones in make it more tasty. I do any chicken breast recipe I want in the slow cooker with bone in, or boneless - depending on what's on sale that week.
