- u can find them at a local flea market.
- Call your local 4 h or FFA chapter. Chances are they will know who had kids that used to be into that who have aged out. Call the parents and chances are you can pick up the used equipment for cheap. 4H and FFA will know about the eggs as well.
- I have a pet chicken, Henny Penny. For her coop I used a big, wooden doghouse, put it up on concrete blocks and put a ramp up to the door. I fenced in a large area around the coop with welded wire using metal stakes. I found all my stuff on a FREE CYCLE website. It's all free, you just have to pick it up. When it comes to an incubator flea markets, auctions and other farmers that raise chickens could help you out. Hatching eggs is a VERY detailed, time consuming thing to get into. Best leave that to the chicken!
- You can try the farm & garden section of craigslist. Lots of times there are used coops, incubators, & hatching eggs listed. You might also find out if there are any poultry auctions in your area. The ones aroud us sell equipment like incubators, as well as, hatching eggs. You can also have hatching eggs shipped to you that are listed on Ebay, Backyardchickens.com, & Ovabid.com. Good luck.
