Is it possible to make a homemade incubator for budgie eggs?

My first attempt at breeding budgies has failed. 3 eggs have been destroyed, one fell and cracked, another was chewed open, and the third was thrown out of the nest. So, I want to try to save the next eggs. How could I make an incubator?

  2. you can make an incubator with a light bulb or hair drier as a source of heat and some kind of thermostat. (Back when the aquarium heaters were simpler, you could take them apart and use that thermostat.
  3. Was that your bird's first attempt also? If they are young and inexperienced, there isn't much you can do other than give them more time. The only other reason this could happen is that the birds know there is something wrong with the eggs/chicks. Don't jump the gun and cause needless work for yourself if you don't have to . Chicks are much healthier if you give the parents a chance to feed them for at least a few days.
