Chook Me!

I wanted to grill chicken breast for dinner tonight, but my grill is broken. What should I do?

Any casserole ideas, or anything that I can do simple with 4 chicken breasts? Thank you very much!

  1. Use your broiler same idea as the grill no open flames
  2. wrap them in tinfoil &cook them over a bon fire. there's no better chicken than chicken cooked over the fire.
  3. Broiler. It just doesn't have flames and although grill tastes better, it does the same thing. Good luck! Heres a DELICIOUS recipe: Chicken Casserole Del Sol INGREDIENTS * 1 (16 ounce) package uncooked rigatoni pasta * 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves * 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup * 1 cup mayonnaise * 2 teaspoons lemon juice * 1/2 teaspoon curry powder * 1 (14.5 ounce) can French-style green beans, drained * 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained * 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese * 1/4 cup melted butter * 1 cup crushed cornflakes cereal * 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 2. Cook the rigatoni according to package directions until al dente.. Meanwhile, in a separate saucepan, boil the chicken breasts until fully cooked. 3. In a large bowl, combine the soup, mayonnaise, lemon juice, curry powder, green beans and mushrooms. Drain and stir in the rigatoni. Cube the cooked chicken breasts and stir this in as well. Transfer this mixture to a 2 quart casserole dish. 4. Sprinkle the cheese on top over all. In a medium bowl, combine the butter and the corn flakes and spread this mixture over the cheese. Finally, top off by sprinkling with the parsley. 5. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly.
  4. Go to the store and buy a new grill. Broiling is similar to grilling.
  5. salsa chicken--soo easy, and good too. pour canned or jarred salsa over chicken breasts, cover and bake. top with cheese last 5 minutes, and there you have it.
  6. I would suggest turning on your oven to 350...place your chicken in a shallow roasting pan and add some of your favorite marinade or my Mom always covered hers with a cream of mushroom (asparagus or celery would work fine) soup thinned with a couple of tablespoons of water. If they are boneless should be done within 25 minutes and with bones more like 45 minutes. Use a thermometer to be sure! Good Luck!
  7. chook pieces or fillets,,packet of french onion soup and a can of apricot nectar....throw the whole lot together and bake it,, youve got apricot chicken !
  8. There are so many different things you can do with chicken breasts, depending on your mood. One is slicing the breasts each into 2-4 thinner pieces/slices or 1-inch thick strips. Heat 1/2-inch high of oil in a skillet over med-high heat. Mix a cup of flour, 1 tbsp salt, tsp pepper, 1/2 tbsp paprika, some onion powder and garlic powder and place in a shallow dish. Coat the chicken in the flour mixture, and fry in skillet, turning once, till golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels or clean newspaper. Another thing is to cook the breasts in chicken broth and sliced mushrooms with 1/4 cup of dry white wine till cooked. Another, if they aren't boneless, bake them in a baking pan with 1 cup of broth, 1/4 cup of lemon juice, and herbs and spices of your choice till cooked, about 40 min.
  9. Slice your chicken breasts into strips and marinade in any sauce you have on hand. Slip them onto skewers (so the long slices are lengthwise on the skewer) and broil them brushing with the marinade. Steam a pot of rice, a few veggies on the side and serve the skewers over the rice.
