Do Republicans feel the dixie chicks were unfairly condemned?

They said less about Bush but were banned and protested at their concerts. Shouldn't Hannity and Limbaugh apologize to them now that they are on William's side. Or is it just plain double standard by the right.

4. I don't know why it matters. You wouldn't find a Dixie Chicks cut on my ipod regardless of what they said. One of them did something offensive and stupid and it destroyed them. Hank Williams did something stupid and must pay the price. lp
5. All public figures who make political statements should be subject to the wrath of the market, as long as the government doesn't ban them from anything.
6. Well all the DIXIE CHIX did was bring it to the attention of the entire world that G. Bush is a mere 'stool sample'. Then somebody else overseas tried to eradicate him by throwing a shoe at his face. ........long live The Dixie Chicks ! p.s. -- hannity & limbaugh flush urinal handles with their chins.

They had no talent and Mains is just a little fat piggie..as far as Hank Williams this is not a monumental problem...the amount he made off ESPN is minuscule BUT if they would ever want to use the theme song it will cost them a ton of money because the song was NOT written for Monday night Football it was a hit way before that...if you want to condemn Williams go right a head he is not not like the little Dixie Piggies he will not suffer financially.
8. Seems like a long time ago. As a Texan, I was not, and am not, a big fan of GWB. I am also not a fan of Sir Rick Perry, but Sir Rick actually makes GWB look like a wise elder statesman--not an easy thing to do. I believe they had the right to their opinion and I was taken aback at the viciousness of the response. Yet, Hank says Obama is like Hitler and he is a folk hero. I tend to not listen to celebrities on matters outside their area of expertise. They have the right to their opinions, as does anyone, but that does not mean they have innate wisdom in other areas. Michael Jordan was a great basketball player, but I don't think he knows underwear better than any other guy.

10. Its not left versus right- they are both corrupt. Bush took away our freedom of speech- google free speech zones. Obama continues to invade countries. He loves wars!
