Chook Me!

How do I correctly use a George Forman grill?(Chicken)?

I've cooked Grilled Chicken twice on my big George Foreman grill and It always comes out Dry and hard on the outside. What am I doing wrong and How do I fix it to make the chicken tender? Hope theres some experienced users out there somewhere :D I'm a 22 year old male living alone I dunno when things are done lol So how can I check if its done? just cut it a little and see if its red or pink?

  1. Sounds like you are cooking it too long. The GF grill is fast seriously fast. I take frozen chicken breast and put on my grill without any thawing at all and they are done in just a few minutes. Yes, cut a little bit to see if it's done and once you get the hang of how long it takes you won't have to test it. Happy grillin'
  2. I suggest getting a marinade for your chicken, marinade in the fridge for 24 hrs. It will help it stay more moist and juicy. Preheat your grill, place chicken on grill and cook for 7-10 mins, I flip once in the middle of the grill time for even cooking. Mine usually gets a bit crisp on the outside but stays pretty moist.
  3. Preheat grill. Dip the chicken in olive oil and then salt and pepper both sides. Put chicken on grill once it is hot. Grill for 5 minutes and thin flip and cook for 5 more minutes. This chicken is great on sandwiches with swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce, and whatever else you like!
  4. for a start you can use your eyes, i.e. the cookbook which is attached, then you use your common sense and somewhere in betwen you will come upwith a great meal
