What could have killed my baby chicks?

my baby chicks are there in there cadge outside dead. my other chickens that are loose outside are alive. my neighbor came by yesterday and looked at them but they were fine. if a snake came my cats would have killed it I THINK! but i don't know. someone please help me. is there a chicken disease going around?

1. chicken disease? no there is none. the snake couldn't have killed the chicks because the chicks wouldn't be there. they would be in the belly of a snake. i dont really know but i think your cat killed your chicks. check the dead chicks bodies and see if there are any scratches or blood. it will give u an idea of who killed them
