Are most poultry infections & outbreaks of H1N1 in chickens due to migratory birds?
Migratory birds travel over long distances, helping to spread diseases like avian flu around the world rapidly. Besides, they are infecting poultry reared in farms , completely disregarding national boundaries and flying wherever they want. They are the cause of most poultry infections. Are they pests in this regard, just like rats and cockroaches?

- First, I think you mean H5N1 (Avian Flu), not H1N1 (Swine Flu). Based on your assumptions, I guess they could be considered pests and if they're endangered, that could put legislators in a tough spot. As for the first part of your question, I'm not sure if we have enough data, but my second source does provide some information on it.
