I want to grill bone-in chicken pieces with Sweet Baby Ray sauce-Season it first?
I am going to grill a whole chicken, but CUT UP. Should I season the chicken pieces first? If so, what would go best the the Original Sweet Baby Ray sauce? Season salt, pepper??? Thanks for your help in advance

- just sauce it, no need for seasoned salt or pepper, the sauce is seasoned enough, put the sauce on before, during and after cooking. ENJOY!!
- sprinkle chicken pieces with fresh lemon or lime juice then just salt & pepper!
- Is is a gas grill with a lid? If so, heat the grill up with the lid closed and then shut off one side. Put the breasts on the grill on the "off" side and cook with the lid shut. After about 15 minutes, add the smaller peices (also on the off side). Cook chicken until just about done. I would butter the skin and let it brown and crisp (not blacken!). Then in the last 5 minutes or so, slather on your BBQ sauce and open grill over the flames, paying careful attention. I like to sauce at the end because I can get a crispy skin without burning the sauce.
- I'd use some chili powder, paprika & garlic powder as a rub..... Y'all know NOT to BBQ the chicken with the sauce on it, don't you? That's a sure-fire way to burn it up! The sauce goes on at the last 5-10 minutes before it's done, with extra sauce on the side.......
