- Good Morning You have the ingredients needed to make a fine chicken =) I'm not good at writing a recipe but this is how I cook mine. Ingredients Chicken garlic salt&pepper Paprika(best ingredient) onion celery butter Shake some salt on the chicken and rinse it really well inside and out. Put a little oil in the baking pan and sit your chicken in there. Take softened butter and rub it all over the chicken lightly(if you don't/can't use butter just use a little oil.) Sprinkle garlic, salt, pepper, paprika on the bird to taste. Chop 1/2 an onion and 2 stalks of celery, put inside the chicken. Put aluminum foil on top of the pan loosely and bake on 400F for an hour and then remove foil (so the chicken browns) and cook for another half hour or until the temp. near the leg reaches 175 degrees. (poke with a knife to make sure juices run clear) Baste with the pan juices once or twice during cooking to keep it moist. Once the chicken is done let it rest for about 10 minutes before you cut into it. Serve with Mashed potatoes w/gravy and asparagus and you're all set =)
- try this one.. Pat into mound in baking/ casserole dish. Place chicken breasts over stuffing. Sprinkle with paprika. Blend mushroom soup and water and pour over all. Cover and bake at 325 for approximatley 1 hour.
- Baste chicken with melted butter, pour lemon juice over the top then season with garlic, salt, and pepper, sage or lemon pepper would be good too if you have them on hand. Bake in the oven 20 minutes per pound at 350 degrees. Serve stuffing on the side. Mix cubes of fresh bread or bread crumbs with onions, chopped celery, salt, pepper, and sage to taste and enough chicken broth to moisten. Add 1 beaten egg and mix well. Cook on top of the stove in a little bit of olive oil, turning often until golden brown. These are recipes that I use to cook for my family. I hope you enjoy them as much as they do.
- Make sure you season the cavity first so you have flavour on the inside as well as the outside Put the Onion &celery stalks right in the chicken cavity while baking.(keeps it moist and adds flavour . and if you have a cookie rack put it in the pan so the chicken doesn't sit in the fat. Try to cook it breast side down for the first half of cooking so the breast meat stays juicy then flip half way. Other than poultry seasoning, Sage, rosemary, summer savory are classics for chicken. The best method to test doneness of chicken is to use a meat thermometer. It should register 85C (185F) in the thigh muscle or 75C (165F) in the dressing of stuffed birds. Without a Thermometer: Pierce flesh with a knife tip, juices should run clear WITHOUT ANY PINK. My favourite chicken recipe site.: http://www.chickenlover.ca/cfo_kitc/01_recip.html
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup or 98% Fat Free Cream of Chicken Soup 1/2 cup milk 4 boneless chicken breast halves you can use cut up chicken. 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups Pepperidge Farm® Herb Seasoned Stuffing, finely crushed 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted MIX 1/3 cup soup and 1/4 cup milk in shallow dish. Coat chicken with flour. Dip into soup mixture. Coat with stuffing. PLACE chicken on baking sheet. Drizzle with butter. Bake at 400°F. for 20 min.for breast45 min or until done for cut up chicken MIX remaining soup and milk in saucepan. Heat through. Serve with chicken. Or I use an oven bag. It keeps the chicken very moist. Lay some celery on the bottom of the bag and follow bag directions. You can make a mixture of the spices you have listed and sprinkle over the whole chicken. Good luck.
- there are several different options...you can season it with salt & pepper and bake it brushing some melted butter on the outside to crispen the skin. think of it this way....it's a very small turkey. you can always braise the chicken by putting in a roasting pan and putting the chicken broth in so that it is half way up the pan and cook covered. this will keep it moist but will not have a very good color. i would choose the first option and if you have any stove top stuffing or feel adventurous to make some you can. you can also serve with mashed potatoes and that would be good too. i would stay away from baked as I view baked potatoes as taking the easy way out.
- 1/4 cup olive oil 4-6 cloves of garlic 1 medium to large chicken 32 oz of chicken broth Onions are optional for filling the chicken or putting around the pan with some potatoes....I would add them if I was making this for my hubby! PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Mix oil and garlic; brush under skin and on outside surface of chicken. (you can also add a little butter under the skin as well.) Pour broth into the bottom of the pan with onions and potatoes. PLACE chicken on in pan with the breast down first. Turn the breast over 1/2 way through cooking to get a nice brown top to the chicken. BAKE 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until chicken is cooked through (180°F when tested in the thickest part), brushing occasionally with the garlic-olive oil mixture.
- well you cud just roast it or you could dice it up into chunks and cook it in a pan with peppers (it is best to do this recipe with chicken fillets) and onions. in a cup put in 1 chicken stoke cube and add boiling hot water leave it to cool down a bit and then put it in a jug with flour and margarine. and then make bread crumbs and add some cheese to the bread crumbs. and your white sauce to the chicken and peppers (add any other veggies if you want to and you don't need to put in peppers if you don't like them) stir until it gets hotter then pour the chicken and white sauce into a dish. Place the cheesy bread crumbs and bake until golden brown and the cheese has melted. TIPS-: boiled potatoes go well with the chicken. and don't add carrots to the chicken and the white sauce because it turn gooey!!! HOPE ALL GOES WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- All these answers are wonderful. Another thing you could do in addition to most of these is mix your seasonings and some softened butter(do not melt it) together and then loosen the skin that covers the breast of the chicken. We did this at the Deli I used to work at. Just gently lift it and slide your hand between the skin and meat. Then take some of the softened butter mixture and rub it under the skin onto the meat. Then these flavors will penetrate into the meat much better, as it doesn't really get through the skin well.
