Beer Can Chicken - Can it be done in the oven?

Does anyone know if the way you cook a chicken on top of the beer can ont he grill can be done in the oven?

1. we call it drunk chicken, I have never saw it done inside the oven before, Might give it a try , just keep a close eye on it.
2. yes my husband cooked it in the oven. Put it on the bottom rack and remove the upper racks. Open the beer can and pop the chicken on it so he is sitting on it. Season the chicken and let it cook ..... DELICIOUS!
3. Easy. Take out the middle rack inside the oven. Use a broiler pan to catch the grease. You also need the apparatus to place the beer can and the chicken over it.
4. Yes it can. It works really well if you have a type of rack that allows you to cook your chicken standing up, instead of breast-side up in a roasting pan. Just make sure the can is open (you'd be surprised what people do)!!
5. yes you can do it in the oven and they have a rack that you can get at wal-mart and the dollar store so you can put it in the oven .let me know how good it is everyone say it is good..........good luck
