BBQ? Is a rear rotisserie burner worth it for $100 vs. beer can chicken holder $10?
I am buying a new BBQ and have come down to two choices. Broil King Signet 20($399) vs. 70($499) BBQ series. I am trying to decide if I would use a rear rotisserie burner. The sales guy said for the 20 series you can buy the beer can chicken holder for $10 and since the 20 series has 3 burners you can create the same heat as convection oven buy placing 1 burner on low, the middle off which has the chicken and the 3rd on medium and you will get the same results as the rear rotisserie. 1. Does rear rotisserie or beer can chicken taste better? 2. How often do you use your rear rotisserie? 3. Is rotisserie easy to cleanup or time consuming? Please let me know your experiences. Thanks.

- A rotisserie chicken tastes better by far. It's a lot more work but worth it. Beer can chicken is over rated and believe it or not, dry if not cooked just right. However why would you spend $10 for a beer can chicken holder when you don't need to. Just put the bird on the can itself and spend nothing extra!
- 1. Does rear rotisserie or beer can chicken taste better? My first experience with Beer Can Chicken made cry, it sooo good! I buy rotisserie chicken from my market. I thought about getting a rotisserie 2. How often do you use your rear rotisserie? I buy a chicken prepared this way almost every week. 3. Is rotisserie easy to cleanup or time consuming? I would imagine it would be a chore, but I love to cook and rarely mind any clean up
- I love the rear burner rotisserie. You can cook roasts on it, too. I say it's worth it, but you might shop around anyway. This is the time of year that the sales will begin, especially if you can hold off until Father's day. And I agree with the first response, beer butt chicken is way overrated. And I never clean the burner. I've had the grill for five years.
